Painted storage bags

Here's a really simple project for a person experimenting with painters tape and textured surfaces. The pics are pretty self-explanatory.

When using tape to mask textured items for painting, be careful to lightly load your brush and treat the tape like a stencil.  Also, dab your brush onto paper to remove excess paint. Tap your brush up and down, being careful not to push paint under the tape into the voids created by the texture of the item you're painting (because painters tape isn't magic and is made for smooth surfaces.)  I'm always obsessive about smoothing the tape onto the surfaces I paint (textured or not).  If you've not painted much before, try painting other items (that don't matter if you ruin them) to get a feel of how a paint brush and paint work...That sounds dumb because it probably seems obvious, but it might not be as simple as you think. You can't just hit a backspace button if you don't like the results.  Besides, the more practice you get, the better you'll get and fewer DIY bloopers you'll have. Have fun experimenting!
